Correct angle for tri hone sharpening?

I am getting a smiths tri hone arkansas sharpener. I plan to touch up some of my less sharp knives using it. I will use med and fine stone. The angle guide that it comes with looks like too thick of an angle. People on youtube always do really thin angles, disregarding the included sharpening angle guide. This confuses me. I am wondering how thin my angle should be when im touching up my knives.

How the heck can I find the answer to vector B with the y component? It's confusing.

In one of Japan videos there is a car hung up at a 45 degree angle on a telephone pole guy wire or support cable. How would you get the car down without damage to the pole or people? I assume forklift will be busy elsewhere for a while and the mud won't go away very soon.

The most important things to me are the vertical distance and angle from one branch to the next.

What is a spirit guide and How can I get mine?

I heard that people who meditate seek a "sprit guide" that tells them advice. I think that sounds pretty darn awsome. How do I find mine? I also heard of versions like they are either an angle or phantom, or like the native indians find animals...if YOU have one, what is your spirit giude and HOW did it find you?
