I recently learned about the Suki brand of facial skin care products. I often get red skin when I use products so I'm wondering if anyone with sensitive skin has had success with this brand? Here is where I learned about the brand: http://www.lilou-organics.com/scripts/brands_suki.asp
Would appreciate good and bad feedback as I'm looking for a moisturizer for the winter months.

Dry Skin Care - a Different, Healthier Approach

By the time you finish reading this I believe you're going to think differently about dry skin care. Believe it or not, it isn't as simple as using lotions or creams to deal with your dry itchy skin. That isn't to say you won't get relief from these types of products. But at what price? And I'm not referring to how much you pay for them. Today, more and more women are taking a different, healthier approach to dealing with their dry skin.
I know how troubling dry itchy skin can be. I live in the desert southwest where the humidity is practically nonexistent. There have been times when the skin on my hands got so painfully cracked and chapped, the only way I could get relief was to slather on petroleum jelly and cover my hands with cotton socks. My face would be dried out as well, but I believed the face cream I was using was sufficient to deal with my discomfort.
The problem with petroleum jelly and many face creams, is that they are made up of synthetic chemicals. As I'm sure you know, petroleum is directly related to gasoline. And the majority of face creams, including the one I was using, are made up of mineral oils and petroleum-based waxes, alcohols, dioxanes and fragrance. The pleasant-smelling, creamy feel of these products belies the fact that they can be an unhealthy approach to dry skin care.
Think about it. As you rub these synthetic-based creams into your skin, they get readily absorbed and enter your bloodstream. The effect is the same as if you had eaten the cream or lotion. Would you feel safe eating these products? Probably not. But that is essentially what you do every time you try to relieve your dry itchy skin with one of these moisturizers.
When I became aware of the potential dangers of the dry skin care products I was using, I began to look for a different, healthier approach. I had a basic awareness that I was looking for something that would nourish, treat, repair and protect my skin. I knew that I wanted only safe, natural ingredients. This was the basis for my research into effective dry skin care.
I thought my search was going to be difficult, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that their are companies that focus on healthy, natural skin care products. One company, in particular, spends the majority of their operating budget on research and development instead of marketing. That made sense when I noticed that they didn't have any slick magazine ads, or celebrity endorsements.
This healthy approach to dry skin care begins with moisturizers that are made from avocado and macadamia nut oil. But it doesn't end there. In order to fortify the natural treatment and repair abilities of your skin cells, these lotions and body creams contain high concentrations of Vitamin E, functional keratin, CoQ10, and Phytessence Wakame.
These ingredients target the three main causes of aging skin: 1. loss of collagen and elastin; 2. oxidation through the action of free radicals and; 3. the breakdown of hyaluronic acid levels.Â
Not only do these active ingredients soothe your dry itchy skin, but progressively transform the texture of even your roughest, driest skin patches - like heels, elbows and knees.
Believe me. Once you feel the soothing, healing results of this healthy dry skin care, you will never look at lotions and creams the same way. Not only will your dry itchy skin be a thing of the past, but so will your willingness to use unhealthy ski care products.

Everything You Wanted to Know About Dry Skin Care
Submitted by admin on Mon, 09/19/2011 - 01:10www.dermtv.com Become a fan on Facebook www.facebook.com Are you starting the job hunt? Do you know about a special day coming up down the road? In this episode of DermTV, Dr. Schultz shares a skin care regimen to help your skin look its best and stay healthy within a month.
Dry skin care is one topic, which should be discussed a lot. A lot of people have no idea what dry skin is and what kind of damage it can do. Dry skin problems are a lot more common today than they ever have been in the past. The reason is not hard to find. People have a very busy lifestyle and they hardly have time to take care of their skin. As a result, twenty year olds look like forty year olds thanks to dry skin, which can lead to wrinkles, cracks, and saggy skin.
Dry itchy skin can be really irritating. Your skin feels dry as a filter paper, it feels tight, and above all, it is itchy. How bad could it get? This problem, if left untreated, could lead to premature aging. Then, with wrinkles, cracks, dark spots, saggy skin, and bags under your eyes, you will look like someone with a terrible midlife crisis. So, let us take a look at the way to get rid of this problem.
If you have dry itchy skin, the first thing you should do is to stop using soap. Soap is really hard on your skin and can really dry your face. Soap cleans your face to such an extent that after a thorough wash, your skin is left without any moisture whatsoever. And as you know, your skin needs moisture to stay soft and supple. So, instead, start using a mild cleanser. A cleanser can cleanse your skin in a gentle way and yet retain the necessary moisture in your skin. This is the first step in treating itchy dry skin.
The next step in treating dry itchy skin is to get a good skin care cream, which will take care of your skin. Now, this is the most important step. Because there are tons of skin care products available in the market, it can be really tough to choose the right one. But there are two tips that can help you do that. First, stay away from artificial cosmetic items and go organic. Second, look out for specific organic ingredients that are very effective and can give you the best results.
Artificial skin care products contain a lot of chemicals that are really harmful to your health. So, you should go for organic dry skin care products. In order to get the best results, look out for ingredients like functional keratin, manuka honey, natural vitamin E, avocado oil, macadamia oil, and herbal extracts like knotgrass extract, comfrey extract, and bearberry extract. These ingredients can moisturize your skin and make it softer, brighter, and healthier.
Once you start using a good dry skin care product, you will see a lot of positive changes in your skin in a few weeks. Use it regularly and you will get the best results you’ve always wanted – soft, bright, supple, and healthy skin.

Your Facial Skin Care Product is Ruining Your Skin! Stop it Before Its Too Late
Submitted by admin on Thu, 09/15/2011 - 08:11English CC www.imdb.com
Your trusted facial skin care product is ruining your skin. How does it feel to know this? It is shocking, but I shall show you the scientific facts how your trusted facial skin care product is in fact causing a disaster on your skin health!
When you lookout for one facial skin care product, you will come across hundreds of facial skin care alternatives. But you need to be watchful on what you are buying for facial care as it is going to play a significant role in your skin health and looks.
Besides that, a lot of facial skin care products have a lot of harmful chemicals which are disasterous for your skin's health and vitality. You might be shocked to hear this, but this is absolutely a true scientific fact.
I will discuss a few harmful ingredients that you must watch out for in your facial skin care products and should avoid them at all costs due to their proven role in ruining skin health.
1) Parabens - This is a type of chemical preservative and finds widespread use in facial skin care products. It helps in improving the shelf life of facial care products. Their longer shelf life might be good news for the manufacturers as their profits increase, but for the consumers it is bad because parabens are known to cause cancer.
2) Fragrances - These are used in facial skin care products so that they emit a nice smell when the product is applied on the skin. These fragrances are manufactured using chemicals which are known to create skin allergies, skin irritations and many other skin disorders. These harmful chemicals ultimately find their way till our bloodstream and skin tissues, because our skin literally "ingests" and "eats" whatever facial care substance that is applied topically. So if you really like nice fragrance, it would be advisable to use a good quality perfume, rather than such dreaded harmful form of fragrances.
3) Mineral Oils - These are the most abused in facial skin care products. They work in moisturizing the skin temporarily and then clogging the skin's pores leaving them suffocating to breathe freely. This causes the skin into acne breakouts, irritations and skin allergies, because the skin is unable to throw out the accumulated toxins. Even after such known harmful effects, mineral oils are widely used in facial skin care products because they are available cheaply.
3) Alcohols -- These alcohols cause a lot of long term damage to skin health and make it dry and sensitive. The common types of alcohol used are: ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and SD alcohol.
There are a lot more harmful ingredients being used freely in facial skin care products. You can visit my website for an exhaustive list of these known culprits.
It would be fruitful to look at some kinds of natural ingredients that should ideally form a part of an effective facial skin care product.
Firstly, it should be capable of enhancing the production of the two vital proteins in our body called collagen and elastin. These are the two youth giving vital proteins in our body. They help in maintaining our skin's firmness, suppleness and elasticity.
Now, as we age, the natural production of these proteins starts to wear down. And the signs of skin aging like wrinkles, age spots, saggy skin and dark uneven skin complexion start to show up.
In my website, I have discussed about such natural ingredients like Cynergy TK, which has been clinically proven in improving the collagen and elastin production of the body naturally and Phytessence Wakame, which is an extract of a special Japanese sea kelp, known for making the skin smooth and velvety.
This information shall definitely make you a more informed consumer and you shall have an upper edge in identifying which facial skin care brands have ingredients that are not benefiting your facial beauty, but instead ruining it! Instead of that, you can use the right facial care products and give your skin the natural health and glow that it truly deserves.

1 Dry Skin Care Tip
Submitted by admin on Mon, 09/12/2011 - 16:11Got dry skin? A dry skin care anti aging lotion is the optimal solution for dry skin care problems.
In order for any dry skin care anti aging lotion to actually improve a dry skin condition for more than a few minutes, the lotion must get below the second major layer of skin. Independent lab testing shows shielding lotions are the most effective anti-aging skin care products.
Typically, the only moisture that is ever really going to reach deep enough in sufficient quantities to resolve a dry skin problem over the long-term, is the skin's own natural moisture.
So the solution is to assist your skin in producing more natural moisture and not allow it to be lost. Until now, all that could be done to alleviate a dry skin condition is apply conventional lotions like artificial moisture. These products were designed to just temporarily fix dry skin, placing artificial moisture over the top layer of skin.
A dry skin care anti aging lotion, which is termed a shield lotion, is the key to actually improving dry skin.
A major factor to consider is that many households and workplace chemicals, even cosmetics and fragrances, are absorbed
Everyday Skincare Essentials Part 1
directly into the skin, which can cause skin disorders or just plain cracked dry skin. When cooking, cleaning, or being active in activities from gardening to painting, skiing to fishing, or any exposure to harsh weather, you are further drying and irritating your skin. A dry skin care anti aging lotion, which provides a shielding lotion protection layer, is the product that is effective with dry skin. A shielding lotion will rapidly absorb into and bonds with the outer layer of skin, which creates a protective layer while retaining the natural moisture from within. This makes it the perfect anti-aging skin care product.
An effective shielding lotion will not wash off, but comes off naturally with exfoliated skin cells and just needs to be reapplied every 4 hours. In summary, taking proper care of your skin can do more to enhance your appearance than all the lotions and creams that can be applied to cover-up unhealthy skin. The summer months pose unique challenges, constantly switching between dry indoor air and summer heat outdoors removes moisture from the skin. While creams and lotions replace some of the lost moisture, it is far better to take steps to prevent moisture loss in the first place. In the event a dry skin problem is present, a dry skin care anti aging lotion, termed a shielding lotion, is the fix.

Important Facts You Must Know About Dry Skin Care
Submitted by admin on Wed, 09/07/2011 - 17:10There is a lot to be said about dry skin care. Simply because, most people do not have any idea about dry skin and what it can lead to. So, first let me start by defining what dry skin is and how you can find out if you skin is dry. Dry skin is a condition in which your skin lacks the essential moisture which keeps it soft and supple. If left untreated, dry skin can lead to wrinkles, cracks, dark spots, and other signs of premature aging which will make you look a lot older than what you are.
One of the most important things you should know about dry skin is that it is not a disease. It is just a skin condition and it can be treated easily. In fact, if you spend a few minutes on your skin every day and take good care of it, there will be no need for you to worry about dry skin or any other skin problem for that matter. Unfortunately, most people do not have the time to do that. So, dry skin is a lot more common these days than it was in the past. Let us take a look at dry skin care and what you need to do to get rid of dry skin.
If you are using soap, get rid of it immediately. It is the first step in dry skin care. Soaps dry your skin and remove the essential moisture from your skin. So, stop using soaps and instead use a mild cleanser which will cleanse your skin gently and still retain the essential moisture in your skin.
Itching and reddening are one of the most common problems associated with dry skin. Dry itchy skin can be extremely annoying and if you don't believe it, ask someone who has had that problem in the past. The first step, as I already suggested, is to stop using soaps and start using mild cleansers. The second step is to find a good skin care cream which can hydrate your skin.
A lot of people with dry itchy skin make the mistake of buying some obscure skin care product to treat their skin condition. This is wrong. You should be aware of the ingredients used in the product and make sure they are safe on your skin. In general, organic skin care products are better than artificial cosmetic products as they are more effective and safer.
Organic ingredients like macadamia oil, olive oil, natural vitamin E, glycerin, wakame (Japanese sea kelp extract), active manuka honey (an excellent moisturizer), kaolin (special New Zealand clay), avocado oil, sorbitol, cupuacu extracts, and more. Look out for these special ingredients in your skin care cream. It has been proven that all these ingredients are extremely effective in treating dry itchy skin and there is no risk of side effects whatsoever.
So, I hope I cleared some of the most common doubts about dry skin care. If you have dry skin, get started today and get yourself a good organic skin cream. Get ready to say hello to a younger, brighter, and healthier skin.

Acne Treatment And Carcinogenesis - The Real Connection
Submitted by admin on Wed, 09/07/2011 - 01:12As many generations know, acne changes one's confidence level, job opportunities or social life. These daily situations are traumatic for everyone, teenagers or adults. Drug stores are the main source of acne treatments, but only a few are going to the root of this problem. There are no miracles in acne treatments, the patient must follow carefully the doctors' prescriptions and find out how to control the underlying cause.
Carcinogenesis is the process by which a cell is transformed in cancer cell. Cell division occurs in all tissues; the normal balance between proliferation and cell death is maintained by a process to ensure the integrity of tissues. When the orderly processes are interrupted, mutations in DNA appear, leading to cancer. Carcinogenesis is caused by the mutation of the genetic material, which destroys the balance between proliferation and death cells. This is reason why the acne treatment and carcinogenesis are connected and acne treatment is so important.
X-ray acne treatment against carcinogenesis
Studies are showing that carcinogenesis rates are higher in the young people (under 20 years old); reports are giving an estimation of relative risk for tumors that is not an alarm for now. Specialists are investigating available records to investigate the links between acne treatment and carcinogenesis; are the links between the use of topical benzoyl peroxide for acne and malignant melanoma? Studies show no significant association between the acne treatment and carcinogenesis if the patients use benzoyl peroxide, no occurrence of malignant melanoma and acne.
Some specialists are also reporting olfactory disturbances after acne treatment. This occurs when the patient uses isotretinoin; the examination of the nose is showing that there are no pathological findings. The exams excluded a tumor or a lesion as acne treatment consequence. Taste and smell exams showed that there is no major changes cause by the acne treatments and carcinognesis is not there.
An important precaution can be taken to avoid can treatment unhealthy consequences: the patients must change the cosmetics they use. All cosmetic must be oil free; the patient's face will be red or scaly during the first weeks of treatment; it will be difficult to use foundation, eye shadow or blush. Small open comedones can appear too; hairstyling products must be used with prudence, because the skin along the hairline can be burned. During the acne treatment, the products labeled as non comedogenic are the best, but even those products can cause acne in some patients.
After the acne outbreak, the macule can appear, and the skin will be temporarily redder. The red mark will disappear or fade in two to six moths after the treatment. Patient must also be treated even after the acne is cured to prevent future acne. Dermatologists are also recommending vanishing formula, which is a white cream that vanishes from the skin. There are tinted formulas that look like foundation make-up and help to mask acne.

Practical Acne Treatment Questions – Can Sun Tanning Help To Eliminate Acne Problem?
Submitted by admin on Fri, 08/26/2011 - 21:10My Grandparents chose to love each other when they met as teenagers, and then, they chose to love each other every part of every day, through the Great Depression, through absence during war, child rearing, work, illnesses... Life. Finding TRUE love? They met... And That was it. Again, the true love part was a daily choice whether either was as attractive or as exciting as the day they met. True love depends on each person, not just the one you find or the one that finds you. In other words, Love is a Choice, because we are not 110% lovable 24 hours a day. True love is when each person sees that real life is not like a romance movie script True love is accepting the fact of real life, which brings creative challenges that, with the choice to love, can increase attraction. Popular novels, songs, shows, movies... Each have scripts that are no doubt, inspired. The talented people that write and act, the hundreds or thousands of people that are the list of credits at the end of a movie - from the accountants to the doctors to the musicians and screenwriters - They work on projects that, as finished masterpieces, may often have coincidental similarities to your definition of romance and the most often undefined and over-used phrase... "true love" Again, the credits behind movies, books, shows and songs... include a lot of people. Why, because such productions are intentionally crafted to touch our deepest self. So, they are edited for perfection, music and effects and colors <b>...</b>
Many people are looking for various methods that they can use to solve acne problem. One of the methods that people have used before is to make use of the sun tanning method and they think that it will helps to eliminate their problem. The fact is that this method does not work at all and you will be actually causing more harm to your skin. You will want to know the effects that the tanning will have on your skin and your acne problem.
Tanning will actually increase the problems of your acne, causing your skin to be very dry as you will be losing a lot of moisture. When you let this situation happens for a constant period of time, you will realized that you have very itchy and raw skin which will cause constant acne breakouts. When your skin is itchy and you continue to scratch your skin, you will only make the situation even worse.
Some people will be using a lot of suntan lotion to prevent their skin from over tanning. There are chemicals inside the suntan lotion which will cause the blockage of the pores in your skin and this will make your situation even worse.
Tanning your skin might make it look on the surface as though your skin has become clearer but this is not the permanent solution. You will realize that your acne problem has become worse and become drier once you stop sun tanning. Sun tanning does not help in eliminating your acne problem and you will want to look for other reliable methods will really help you in managing the problem.

Healthy Treatment for Dry Skin Care Results
Submitted by admin on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 14:12Did you know that dry skin and aging are intertwined? Millions of Americans fight aging with all of their might every year, but most of them never consider the dry skin factor.
So, what is the dry skin factor? Well, as we age the oil production within our skin tends to decrease. As the oil slips away, skin loses essential bits of lubrication including oil and sebum. These protective lubricators actually help to lock in moisture. When these lubricators are gone, your skin will dry out at a faster pace causing the skin to age.
As soon as your skin goes through this process, you will see small lines and wrinkles appear on your face (seemingly overnight). While most people rush to their local health and beauty store in search of the latest serums and elixirs, these topical treatments can only get you so far. Your skin will absorb some of the treatments that you provide it with, but this is simply not enough.
Dealing with dry skin and aging is a complex matter. Unlike younger dry skin, aging dry skin must be tended to carefully. A large part of dealing with aging skin is taking the time to nourish your body from the inside...as well as the outside. So, how does one begin to nourish skin from the inside out? Well, this question has plagued some of the best health and beauty minds for centuries.
What is the verdict after all those years of trying to find out what the body needs to be healthy? The number one answer is water, but water might not be enough. Aside from chugging those eight glasses per day, it also helps to eat foods that are high in essential vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. These “super foods†can really help your body to perform at its highest level.
As a reward for taking care of your body, your skin will begin to morph into its old supple self. Of course, nutrition can only get you so far, which is why it’s important to invest in a series of top quality facial cleansing and moisturizing products. Aging doesn’t have to mean an increase in facial lines, but those lines will only dissipate with the proper nutrients and great skin care products.
Now comes the tricky part...what exactly is a good skin care product? Well, start with a product that doesn’t use alcohol as its main ingredient. Also, look for a product that includes collagen, natural ingredients, and even elements taken from great sources of nutrients such as the Dead Sea. Avoid those products that are composed of toxic chemicals and drying ingredients.
Aging can be detrimental to the skin. It can cause fine lines, lots of wrinkles, and skin that just feels dry and itchy most of the time. Thankfully, there are easy ways to avoid all of these things. Don’t let your skin take control of your life. Instead, feed your skin with a proper diet and lots of great health and beauty products.
